Highway 6 (Wilson River Highway) Bateman Creek Bridge:
A contractor is starting work on a project to replace a culvert and fish ladder on Highway 6 with a bridge. The current culvert, located near Lyda Drive, milepost 40.9, is impassible to fish.
Starting in mid-November traffic will be reduced to one lane 24 hours a day until approximately March 31, 2006. A traffic signal system is being installed at the construction site.
The signal system will control both directions of traffic, which will alternate use of the single travel lane. As part of this project, the west end of Lyda Drive will also be closed until about March 31, 2006. Motorists traveling along this section of Highway 6 should expect delays.
Josi Bridge Closed
The Josi Bridge located just north of mp 10, Hwy 6 on Kansas Creek Road is closed to all traffic until further notice. Inspectors from ODOT inspected the bridge for Tillamook Co. Public Works and found rot in the main beams.
