I received this email from ODOT the other day and thought I would share it with all the oregonians: Greetings, Thanks for your e-mail. No laws exist except for the height of lights (headlights or auxiliary lights no higher than 54 inches, ORS 811.515) and covering the full width of the tires with mud guards/fender flares on all four tires within 20 inches of the ground (ORS 815.180). Link to Oregon Revised Statutes where vehicle codes can be found between ORS 801 and 835: www.leg.state.or.us/ors/orschs-13.htmlIf vehicle gets too high, the vehicle could be deemed unsafe in the eyes of law enforcement. That is about it, except that the tires and wheels must meet DOT standards for street use. One cannot use non-DOT off-road tires, such as the monster trucks use. Hope that helps!
